Celebrate Burn's Night with a Macsween Vegetarian Haggis
To celebrate its 25th birthday in 2009, we are giving 25 lucky readers
the chance to win a Macsween vegetarian haggis. Created by the Macsween
family to accompany the launch of the Scottish Poetry Library in 1984,
the vegetarian haggis has become a top seller throughout the UK and the
rest of the world. The poetry connection is ingrained in haggis, as it
was immortalised by Scotland's national poet, Robert Burns, in his ode
'To a haggis'. This is performed with great gusto every year on the anniversary of his birth, the 25th
January. This annual celebration of words, culture and
food is made extra-special in 2009 as it marks the 250th anniverary of
Burns' birth
To win your Macsween vegetarian haggis (enough for 2-3 servings) please answer the
following question:
In which year did Macsween create the vegetarian haggis?
