The reviews....

Scotsman 'The Pulse' magazine - December 2009

"Treading that fine line between indulgence and healthy living. L'Artichaut is also a marriage between two usually incompatible cuisines - a French vegetarian restaurant. Amazingly, the combination does not merely work, it turns out to be a real treat."

Informed Women - October 2009

"Carnivores will scarcely notice the lack of meat as they indulge their taste buds with multiple layers of inventive taste sensations. And vegans, vegetarians and those on restricted diets will revel in an exciting, ever -changing menu that doesn’t leave them feeling like short-changed second class citizens."

The Scotsman - October 2009

"we stumbled upon a new world, where the usual beef, chicken and fish had been replaced by magical-sounding chanterelles, samphire grass and kohlrabi, plus plenty of organic wine"

The List - September 2009

"L’Artichaut is a more than welcome – and overdue – addition to Edinburgh’s vegetarian scene, although there is plenty here to woo meat-eaters who appreciate a menu that has the freshest seasonal produce at its heart"

Bite - September 2009

"L'Artichaut is a very welcome and exciting addition to Edinburgh's gastronomic scene. Seasonal vegetables are admired and cooked with simplicity, understanding and imaginative twists."
